Our Services
Reinforced Concrete Structures
We have experience in civils and building schemes from £10,000 to £365M. Our previous schemes include sub-station bases, retaining walls, tram slabs and rail plinths, floating track slabs, energy form waste plants, multi-span, multi-form bridges including cantilevered parapets and string courses.
We also install participating and non-participating permanent formwork and temporary works. We also have significant experience in placing Lytag concrete in slabs and bridge footways (see our case studies for Resorts World and NET2). If your scheme contains reinforced structures, we can build it.
Pile Breakdown
We can include pile breakdown in our package, with experience in breaking down piles from 300mm to 900mm diameter using hydraulic excavator mounted cropping tools and finishing with hand held breakers to minimise Hand Arm Vibration exposure.
Pre-cast Concrete Installation
On several recent schemes we have installed pre-cast panels to underpasses and coping units to bridge approach ramps. Bespoke temporary restraint systems were designed to hold units in place until they were grouted.
Ducting
On the Nottingham Tram (NET2) scheme we installed over 10,000 linear meters of flexiduct and multi-duct and encased them in Lytag concrete. We also installed plastic and in-situ concrete duct chambers.
Kerbs / Channels
Our experience also extends to the installation of drainage channels (Aco channels), anti-derailment channels, pre-cast concrete kerbs and granite kerbs. On the Nottingham Tram (NET2) scheme we installed a total of 1,700 linear meters of kerbs and channels.
Concrete Pavements
As well as our main reinforced concrete works, we are often asked to incorporate ancillary concrete works such as footways and aprons. These are normally formed in low to medium strength structural concrete or Lytag concrete.
Architectural Concrete
We can form architectural imprints to concrete facings on retaining walls and bridges to clients requirements. Exposed aggregate concrete is also one of our services. On the Nottingham Tram (NET2) scheme we laid 1,600m2 over the QMC viaduct and Floating Track Slab through the university campus.
